It features an evening of North East entertainment called a "Meal and Ale" held in the fairm barn. An event that gave cultural identity to this part of Scotland.

The traditional foot tappin music of the rural folk features music of the pipes, fiddle, melodeon and the unaccompanied voice are featured. Northeast bothy ballads sang by rural folk like Tom and Anne Reid and recitations, by Robbie Shepherd also help to tell the story of a past way of North East rural folk and fairm life.
